Dana Davidson Théveneau

Dana Davidson Théveneau began her career in France in 1980, teaching at the “Ecole Nationale d’Art de Cergy Pontoise” in the Greater Paris Region. She then moved to the South of France in 1981 where she taught both business and scientific English at the Institut Universitaire de Technologie in Marseille, where she recently returned teaching in the Political Science and Law School as well as in the Science department of the Aix-Marseille University.

In 1986, she co-founded Théveneau Productions (specialized in institutional and documentary films) where she was in charge of international contacts. She also was a correspondent in France for Rutland Weekend Television International (company founded by Eric Idle of Monty Python). In 1991, she founded the South of France Film Commission-Var that she directed until 2006, an association specialized in advising and accompanying film professionals shooting on-location in the Var and the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region. During that period, she became a founding member of the French National Film Commission network “FilmFrance” and the European Film Commissions network (EUFCN).  She also held office on the Board of Directors of the Association of Film Commission International (AFCI) where she successively served as Secretary and Vice-President, responsible for the educational and International outreach committees.

In 2006, she joined the Euromedia Group (ex-SFP) as director of marketing, fiction and international promotion of “Studios Riviera” (Victorine Film Studios) in Nice, until 2010. While at the studios, she was elected Vice-President of the “Industries de la Créativité et de l’Innovation” business cluster initiated by the “Conseil Général des Alpes-Maritimes” and the University of Nice-Sophia Antipolis.

Today, Dana Davidson Théveneau is an international consultant and certified Strategic Intervention Coach specialized in the film and creative industries and is a certified benchmarking expert with the European Secretariat of Cluster Analysis (ESCA).
